About the Project
Practical Advocacy is a project started in 2016 in response to a society that overwhelmingly classifies, identifies, and explains mental conditions with highly clinical (and inaccessible) terms and in ways that do not center and emphasize the actual experiences that these conditions consist of.
Practical Advocacy aims to provide more realistic and accessible descriptions and definitions of mental conditions and neurodivergencies, centering the voices of those living with these conditions.
The project is headed by Elijah Rosenberg and is comprised of quotes, descriptions, definitions, and experiences collected from over 90 contributors and counting.
